Job Purpose:

As a Member Contact Centre Representative you will provide members with a variety of services using a needs based sales approach to promote non-cash related deposit products and services with courtesy and accuracy over the phone. You will respond to a variety of inquiries, analyze needs and assist current and potential members in finding the product or service which best meet their needs.

Specific Responsibilities: 

  • Process member transactions and requests including, but not limited to transfers, account updates, loan payments, term deposits, cheque orders, and account closures
  • Build and strengthen member relationships by providing exceptional member service and resolving routine problems with member accounts
  • Provide technical support to members on Internet Banking
  • Occasionally handle outbound calls to respond to e-mail or voice-mail or to assist other departments


  • Grade 12 Diploma plus one to three years of job-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Sales experience
  • Strong communication skills and listening skills, coupled with the ability to develop effective working relationships with members and staff
  • Demonstrated professionalism, excellent customer service and problem solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Credit Union products and services would be considered an asset
  • Bilingualism would be considered an asset
