Job Purpose:
Promote and sell the company’s wide range of grill and outdoor products through a dealer direct network within the assigned geographic territory. Emphasis will be placed on the recruitment of the right type of dealer and development of future business opportunities within the territory. The incumbent is to ensure that the execution od developed strategies, plans, programs and related activities are in accordance with sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Aggressively grow sales in assigned geographic territory and as determined by the National Sales Director
• Develop and grow traditional and non-traditional dealer base through multi-channel distribution
• Develop and implement merchandising strategies for customers; product, placement, promotion
• Schedule sales calls and promote Napoleon to all dealers in assigned territory
• Quote pricing, prepare proposals and provide information to dealers regarding terms, sales, and availability of products, including stocked warehouse products
• Provide product training on new and existing products to dealers and others support staff
• Create strategic business plan for territory; present and execute to deliver on sales targets
• Work closely with dealers to plan and support weekend events, including product demos, cooking, and product merchandising
• Work closely with dealers in assisting them with showroom product merchandising, plan-o-gram set up and fulfillment
• Assist and participate in national, regional, and local promotions for Napoleon including trade and consumer shows, where applicable
• Present and book business through monthly specials and early buy programs
• Prepare monthly sales report detailing sales, activities, significant events, competition etc.
• Extensive territory travel and weekend work as required
• Ability to work from home office environment
Education and Experience:
• Must have a Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Commerce, Business or Marketing or equivalent
• Minimum five years sales experience in Grill and/or Appliance sales industry is preferred
• A proven track record of professional success and accomplishments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook)
• Must possess excellent presentation and communication skills
• The ideal candidate will be self motivated and entrepreneurial minded
• Must be innovative and creative
• Support local Home Shows, Regional and National trade shows etc.
• Strong ability to effectively manage their time
• Must have experience tracking sales, establishing targets and monitoring results
• Forecasting is required and previous experience is an asset
• Must be willing to travel daily/weekly within assigned territory based on the needs of the territory
